In Canada, candidates must apply directly to the specific school board in the particular province or territory where they wish to teach. To link directly to school boards in each province or territory, go to: http://www.edu.gov.on.ca/eng/relsites/oth_prov.html. Most teaching positions are advertised in local newspapers between the months of February and June.  While some vacancies may occur during the school year, applicants should be in Canada and available for interviews during this time and ready to begin duties at the commencement of the school year at the beginning of September.
