OTTAWA – The President of the Canadian Teachers’ Federation (CTF) is pleased to announce that Sara Lafrance has been appointed to the position of Acting Director, Services to Francophones replacing Ronald Boudreau who will be on deferred salary leave between April 3, 2017 and March 31, 2018.
“In addition to her experience teaching in Quebec, Manitoba, Nova Scotia and British Columbia, Sara Lafrance has worked with the Nova Scotia Department of Education where she gained excellent knowledge of the challenges faced by teachers in minority settings. We are very happy to welcome her to our team”.
Sara completed a Bachelor of Education and French Studies degree at the University of Quebec in Chicoutimi and a Master’s degree in teaching French as a first language in minority settings at Sainte-Anne University in Nova Scotia.
