The CTF/FCE fully condemns the Government of Alberta’s recent decision to violate the right to strike and other democratic rights of Alberta teachers.
Together, the presidents are calling on all provincial and territorial governments as well as the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada to take immediate action for the good of students across this country.
The CTF/FCE plans to work with all parties to advance policy and legislation that benefits public education and education workers in Canada.
Ontario is receiving $108.5 million through this three-year agreement. This funding will enhance and expand existing programs, including the Student Nutrition Program and the First Nations Student Nutrition Program, allowing over 160,000 students to benefit from over 9.8 million meals in the first year alone.
